Where
Do I Start?
So
far, we've discussed ideas about your own infoproduct...customers...merchant
accounts....email marketing.... which of course is very well and good.
But where do your customers see you most visibly? Why, your web site, of
course! And if your site is as exciting to read as last year's tax returns,
you're in big big big trouble.
Main
Purpose of Site
Remember
the main purpose of your business or product or service site. It's to sell!
Sell sell sell! It's a tool. Every single component you have on your site
should help lead your customers to a "call of action" - buying
your product, requesting more information, even simply submitting their
email address to get on your ezine.
The art
of copy is something that will greatly enhance your business success. Remember
why customers buy...they think your product/service will meet an emotional
need. Thus, you should include words that provoke emotion whenever possible!
Corey
Rudl, at his Secrets
to Internet Marketing Site, goes into this in detail.
Your
Own E-zine
A
very easy way to build up a targeted marketing list is to simply offer
a compelling ezine on your site. Notice how on every page here, you can
sign up for my Entrepreneurial Twist ezine? Not only do subscribers
get valuable tips from me via this offering...but in return, I get to brand
my name in the eyes of my customers as often as I choose!
If you're
looking for a complete how-to product focused on e-zines, definitely check
out E-Newsletters That Work. You'll learn tons of information about
how to set one up, market it, choose complementary site owners and much,
much more. Of course, my experiences with the ezines I've run for over
2 years can be found:
Beyond
Website
copy and ezine writing is an art. Luckily, it's an art that can be easily
learned....you simply have to put yourself in your customers shoes and
follow 1-2-3 steps to fine-turn your information and make it compelling
beyond belief. The Hidden Internet
Marketing Edge will also show you how to construct
search engine queries to find your targeted ezine audience, uncover entrepreneurial
forums in which you can ask for free critiques and more.
Continue
to enjoy your visit! The next section of this site
will stop you dead in your tracks for a very important reason.
