Ultimate Fighting and Boxing and Dog Brothers, oh my!

So have you

heard about Ultimate Fighting and Boxing and MMA (mixed martial arts) yet from your kids?

Basically, it’s rather intense fighting within a ring/cage/etc. that must be extremely, ahem, character-building for the participants. It can be taken to the extremes with cases like the Dog Brothers Pack, a rather intense fight club that uses sticks, knives and the like. National Geographic did a piece on them earlier which I caught last night.

One interview really stood out to me. The essence was, when you’re pushed to the edge, you emerge far stronger than when you began. And being a Martial Arts student myself, wow, can I really relate!
