Do YOUR fellow parents know the following yet?

Set up local mom PTA, homeschool, school etc. groups with Twitter Local

Are you in your PTA?

Given the fact I abhor politics, I’m not, mind you….but still, being able to network with moms for academic and school reasons is a very good thing indeed.

Are you familiar with Twitter? It’s a web-based app that lets you communicate with folks via 140 characters or less. You can learn lots about it over at my 101 Must See Twitter Resources - Apps, Tools, How-To, Plugins, Extensions and more post.

Anywhos, I just found out from eMoms At Home about the cool site TwitterLocal.net! This nifty resource lets you find Tweets within a geographic radius of any particular location.

This would be very useful indeed for uncovering technically-with-it parents…and even for getting people interested in setting up local Twitter groups for academic reasons as well.

Twitter can actually be used in the classroom, did you know that? Check out these resources:

So who knows…perhaps it’s a resource that will be great for your parent-school related activites.

ThankYouVeryMuch!
