Morning,

Today’s phrase of the day is “Courage consists of hanging on, one minute longer.”

My gosh, it really does.

“Competence”, on the other hand, doesn’t consist of that. However, competence will come.

Yesterday’s martial arts was quite a learning experience. I discovered I’m extremely reluctant to kick during sparring which really puts me at one heck of a disadvantage. BJJ-wise, there were only 2 other students there so I got lots of mat time. Slowly but surely, the knowledge is building there.

It’s a rainy day today, perfect for doing the circle walk! The boys want to do kata class today so I’ll bring them there and then stay for bo-staff/advanced. Bo-staff is tons of fun; I really enjoyed it last summer.

Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes I ask my guardian angel, why now? Why here? Just plain why? I really wish I knew.
