Now THIS is a holiday that should have been created back during Stonehenge:
National Chore Free Day for Moms
On this day, moms are relieved of their chore duties. Instead, their children happily and proudly shoulder all the responsibilities of mom-duty such as:
- Digging out single socks under couches
- Making school lunches
- Sandblasting the kitchen floor
- Completing the 8 loads of laundry
Is this perfect or what?
Now, true….my kids, for example, are Cleaning-challenged – their ideas of “neat” involve stacking things at 90 degree angles, compressing them with forklifts and shoving them under the bed, etc. But hey, it’s the thought that counts.
National Chore-Free Day for Mothers was inspired by me when I learned that this Wednesday is National Make Up Your Own Holiday day. But be honest with me here – isn’t the concept long overdue?
ThankYouVeryMuch!
