Time for me to start Part II!
Here’s another thing Income Fitness is NOT:
- Income Fitness is NOT short-term.
- ‘Matter of fact…it’s almost impossible to even MAKE it short term.
And here’s why.
Ever wish you could make your living online…and then "set it and forget it"?
For the vast majority of people, this simply will NEVER EVER happen. Oh, you can make it big online, of course. You can develop quite a healthy thriving income from your work too!
But remember…the future is always in motion and never stagnates.
That means that making it big TODAY is no guarantee whatsoever you’ll be in stable states tomorrow.
Think about it! Let’s say that you have a fantastic growing income from your Squidoo lenses and your resource sites and supreme high search engine visibility.
Then let’s say….Google decides it doesn’t like you and slaps your rankings down to the Bottomless Pit of Dastardly Doom.
UNLESS you’ve been smart and have built up your list during your hey-day of high visibility, you’re, well, toast.
Your income becomes less fit than a water buffalo who just tried beating out a whole pack of Kenyans in the New York City marathon.
Never ever get seduced by the idea that just because your personal online business is going peachy NOW…that it will continue through the next decade or so.
Even if you’re high in your niche…you never know when that niche will fall out of favor and your once-craved products will languish on the shelf of Internet unwantedness.
I sure know that! My first product, The Internet Recruiting Edge, was a slam home run best seller in 1999-2000, back when Internet Recruiting was first gaining visibility. And then the dotcom bubble burst….and all of a sudden, nobody was hiring (sound familiar?).
End result? My wondrous brilliant book was still wondrous, still brilliant, but simply not wanted. And I saw my income from that particular year disappear faster than marshmallows at a pre-teen summer campfire.
That lesson sure as heck stayed with me indeed!
Thus, Income Fitness is NOT short-term. Like a real-world business, you always have to care and feed and water it…and help it grow to its full potential. And once there…you have to ensure you take the steps necessary to deal with any unforeseen problems that might whack you in the face when you least expect it.
Never forget that. Your future bottom line will adore you for it.
