If you’re at

all like me, you find insisting on a neat room is kinda sorta like standing at the ocean in low tide, and decreeing, Tide! Thou Shalt Not Come In!

In other words, it’s probably pretty hopeless.

But never fear! I’ve found the following rather useful resources for you!

• Decorating a child’s room for neatness
• How neat is neat enough?

Personally, I just favor the black garbage bag routine - periodically I will go on a safari in what used to a “room” and throw everything on the floor into the black garbage bag and then hide it. One month later, when nary an item was missed, I’ll throw it out.

You do what you gotta do. Oh, and the site FlyLady can be quite a help as well…
