How to buy a Plasma HDTV Guide Resources

Morning!

So you’ve finally decided to get a Plasma HDTV so your kids can DDR to their heart’s content! Fair enough, but tell me…how can you know you bought the best one available for your needs?

A plasma TV owner once told me about a nefarious (or possible poorly informed) service tech that suggested the set be brought back to the shop every six months so the screen surface could be removed for internal “cleaning.” Hmmm.….MORE….

Remember, it’s the educated consumer who is the best customer.

Customer Reviews — [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-03-17 Summary: Samsung HPT5054 50″ Plasma TV So far I’m very pleased with this purchase. The picture quality, design, and ease of use are really quite good. But don’t expect to be impressed by the shipping. I live in the same state as the Amazon warehouse and my delivery was scheduled for twenty days after date of shipment. I was able to speed that process along by picking it up at the local terminal, but twenty days is ridiculous (I could literally have walked from their warehouse to my home in less time). Product, good. Price, right. Shipping, sucks. …more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-03-15 Summary: Fantastic entry level plasma Initially, I was some what apprehensive buying this plasma over Panasonic or Pioneer; however, I have been nothing but pleased with it. There was some burn in at first but after watching it over the course of the last month, those burn ins have all but stopped. This set is really unbeatable in terms of price considering the variety and number of inputs. If there were a negative, the in-set speakers are pretty weak, but realistically you will hook it up to a receiver. …more
