I was newly reminded of this by the posting The Peacock Roars:

…I spent a day earlier this week at NBC in New York. Keep an eye on them. When they launch their new education tools next month they’re going to become a pretty important content-provider for teachers and students. They’ve married the AP curriculum with incredible archival footage and social networking (and a bit of gaming), it’s pretty powerful stuff and seemed like a glimpse of the future……MORE…
