Hide this movie theater from your kids (and check out film reviews)
I’m just thrilled to find a movie-theater with stadium seating. Height-challenged that I am, I think being able to see over the heads of other attendees (unless of course, they’re transparent) is nirvana enough.
Apparently, however, this is not the case in Hong Kong. I first heard about this from The Cool Hunter - to wit:
… We don’t go to the movies to admire the theater, but would it kill theater owners to build even one with an edge?
Time and time again, we are disappointed in the new, mega multiplexes that are boring beyond belief in their sameness and recycled ideas. So, we must admit that there is not much to celebrate but are seeing little glimmers of hope and ingenuity once in a while…..MORE….
Looks quite ‘way cool to me. My challenge, of course, is dealing with the “Mom! Why CAN’T we get popcorn and candy and soda even though you kindly and graciously already spent the moola to get us here in the first place?”
Speaking of movie theaters, ever want to get the scoop on if a movie is appropriate? Here’s where I go:
By reviewing the above, I realized that taking my kids to see Beowulf would have been a Bad Thing indeed. ‘course, it was an Even Worse Thing when I chose to see it by myself; I walked out after 8 minutes. Gratuitous violence…it just ain’t my thing.
ThankYouVeryMuch!
