One of the best ways to grow your reputation online is to share freely the knowledge that unsavory marketers would charge an arm and an earlobe. And the holidays give you a super opportunity to do just that!
I was reminded of this yesterday via a wonderful email by Dave Thomas. He sent his list members a compilation of his favorite free tools that he himself uses everyday.
What a nifty idea, thought I…and so this Easter Morning I created my own take on the concept.
The following email is what I sent to my list. You might want to offer the same thing to your subscribers (well, not the SAME thing exactly, as the tools below are what I use…but change it instead to be what YOU use).
Remember, what’s common sense to you might be difficult to find for others!
You lose nothing by sharing freely…and show that you walk the walk you talk by helping out others who want to learn what you know. It’s a good thing indeed!

Hope your Sunday is treating you well! Over here in LingLand, I
gently explained to the kids that while the Broccoli Bunny is on
vacation:
The Easter Bunny realizes that chocolate is the kiss of death for
mooses (don’t know about my moosies? Check ‘em out at

But I digress. 
Today is Easter (and a few days ago it was Passover; I was in NC
so didn’t get a chance to send out my usual Passover well-wishes,
my apologies!)! I’d like to wish everyone of every faith a peaceful
time spent with their families and loved ones; when it comes right
down to it, family is *all*.

and helps build your community and network.
Next, one of the best ways to boost your site visibility is with

has bunches.
What if you have big huge images that you’d like to compress in
size? I use

which works beautifully indeed!
And have you ever wondered how to create nifty neato dropdown
forms or favicons or other cute thingees?
is Deity-like beyond all imaginings. Awesome collection of goodies
there!!
Do you use an iPhone? If so, get thee hence to:

==> Free Social Media iPhone Apps
Instant messaging, location based, microblogging, carpooling,
lifestreaming and more apps are to be found there.
Do you adore digital cameras instead? Bunches of fwee graphics

Gimp instead!
