Do you use Facebook?
Okay, I know, I know….that’s like saying, do you breathe? It’s just common sense, right?
Anywhos, as you might know, Facebook last Monday offered users the option of having their own profile page online. And most people are choosing names like
- www.facebook.com/firstname.lastname
etc.etc.etc.
That’s ‘way too narrow! What if you have multiple facebook accounts, one for your personal life, one for your business life, one for your band, one for your fan club, one for your…..you get the idea, right?
Well, what about adding descriptive keywords to your username instead?
I just did that myself!
I have a business Facebook page:
www.facebook.com/barbara.ling.entrepreneur
and a personal Facebook page
which, ahem, I’m not going to reveal here, as I only allow folks whom I know into that network.
But the point remains!!
You can use keywords in your Facebook page that not only will differentiate the various "you’s" online….but might also help in search engine visibility (SEO) as well.
Neat, huh?
Enjoy,
Barbara Ling

I remember right when this was announced my buddy was rushing to try to register every good name associated with his websites. I don’t think he ever did anything with those urls though.
