Do your kids have problems with Calculus?
More importantly….do you want to introduce your kids to Calculus before the school does, thus giving them a firm grounding in principles they can actually understand?
If so, I urge you to visit Calculus Without Tears by Berkeley Science. I had a chance to go over some of the material and let me tell you, they deliver on what the promise….that 4th graders on up can understand and master the material. What really caught my eye was:
…. These lessons are a revolutionary approach to learning calculus. There is no algebra, no trigonometry, and no geometry (beyond the formula for the area of a rectangle). Why? - because they are not needed. Calculus is the mathematics of change, and change is represented by functions. The basic operations in calculus are differentiating and integrating functions, and solving differential equations.
