Beginner's Internet
Step
1 - What Is The Internet?
The Internet
is a worldwide network of university, government, business, and private
computer systems and is run by a 13
year old named Jason. Well, not really, but it's a very cute idea...
Seriously. The
Internet, as we know it today, spans all of those AOL, WebTV, search engines,
portals, shopping sites, bulletin boards, forums, web sites, and many other
things.
It wasn't always
that way, of course. It did originate as a means for tecchies and scientists
to share wanted information (read: spamming was unkonwn) - you can
find a great history of it here at the Library
of Congress.
Step
2 - What Can You Do With The Internet?
Ohmigosh, so
much. You can compare prices on big ticket items like cards, airplane tickets
and more. You can meet with thousands of folks who share your interests,
no matter what they are! You can learn how to make
money as a real estate agent. You can find a soul mate. You can teach
yourself different kinds of career skills. Heck, you can find thousands
of recruiters who would love to place you!
Simply go to
About.com or Yahoo!
and search for anything. You'll almost definitely discover a good resource.
And of course,
you can learn how to make money via all of the great opportunities the
Internet offers.
Step
3 - Great Internet Resources
As earlier mentioned,
you can start with About.com or Yahoo!
. And then you can check out all the resources available at The
Internet Marketing Edge!
