Wonderful Wonderful
Infomercials!
Step
1 - All About Informercials
I love infomercials!
The dazzle, the glamour, the packaging of dreams, all in under half an
hour!
Seriously, infomericals
are great to check out when you are doing business on the Internet. Note
how they capture people's attention. What kinds of buzz words are used?
How are the emotions manipulated to generate a "Ohmigosh, I have to
buy NOW NOW NOW where is my credit card?" response?
Step
2 - Why Are They So Popular?
As mentioned
above, they are popular because of the dreams they sell. The key component
to realize about Informercials is you are the biggest factor if
the informational products will make you a success! Sure, you can buy into
Tiiinnnnyyyyy Classsified ads, but that does you no good if you don't read
the material, follow the ideas, take it to the limit, etc.
Many infomercials
cater to the quick fix, the benefit yesterday, the no-effort message of
getting ahead. Others, like Taebo, showcase the benefit (getting fit) via
the product (having fun in a workout with other taebo'ers).
When you call
to buy a product from an infomercial, most likely you'll be asked if you
want to invest in the next-step up. Infomericals make their money by generating
a targeted list of people who would be interested in particular flavors
of products. Boom! Instant upsell!
Gotta love it
and tiny one room apartments, too. :-)
